About
Frankston Theatre Group
QUALITY COMMUNITY THEATRE SINCE 1942
At Frankston Theatre Group, we are passionate about theatre as a means of self-expression and enjoyment. Our amateur theatre group proudly presents shows in Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula, and we strive to be inclusive in all our endeavors.
We are committed to presenting a mix of classic and modern productions that cater to all audiences. We take pride in delivering exceptional performances, be it a musical or a straight play, that leave a lasting impression.
Frankston Theatre Group started out as a fundraiser for the Red Cross efforts in 1942, entertaining the locals of the Mornington Peninsula and both Australian and American military personnel during the darkest hours of the Second World War. We believed that what we were doing then had a purpose and a place in the community, and our belief in this has never wavered. We will always strive to bring a smile to our community.
